Dillon’s GHG Validation and Verification Process
- Dillon receives a request for GHG validation/verification (V/V) from the website (see the Connect with an Expert form).
- Dillon will contact the client for additional/necessary information required for scope understanding, as applicable
- Dillon will perform a conflict of interest check and submits a proposal to the client that details the scope, criteria, V/V team, proposed schedule, and costs.
- After contract execution, Dillon coordinates a project kick-off call.
- Dillon submits a V/V Plan detailing the process, strategic analysis, risk assessment, site visit, schedule, and information requests
- Dillon reviews all related documentation and raw data for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with the relevant regulation, protocol and/or standards; independently calculates associated emissions for comparison with the client’s calculations; and completes the site visit(s) as necessary.
- Qualitative and quantitative issues are communicated to the client through an Issues log.
- Following the resolution and closure of all issues, Dillon drafts a V/V Report, which is reviewed by an internal independent peer reviewer prior to issuance to the client.
