Betsy Varghese

Betsy has over 20 years experience in waste management and is Dillon’s technical strategist for the Waste Management group. Betsy’s role in waste management planning projects has been to review existing programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement in order for efficiencies to be made and/or diversion goals to be achieved. Many of her projects have incorporated extensive public and stakeholder consultation including the use of community-based social marketing tactics. In addition, Betsy has been involved in individual Environmental Assessments for residual waste disposal facilities and securing/modifying approvals for waste management facilities in Ontario through Environmental Compliance Approvals.
