Matthew Hopps

Matt is a professional geoscientist with over 15 years of experience in environmental consulting. Matt graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland where he studied Geology with a focus on Environmental Geochemistry.  Matt is a registered professional geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of New Brunswick (APEGNB) and Northwest Territories Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG).

Matt has extensive experience at managing contaminated site management programs in accordance with the 10 step FCSAP Process, including Phased ESAs, development of conceptual site models, site scoring (NCSCS), development of Remedial Action Plans (RAP), and Risk Management Plans (RMP).  The majority of his work experience has taken place on federal and industrial sites. Matt has completed many site assessments in the NWT and NU both as a project manager, technical support, and as field support between 2009 to the present. Matt has shown that he is capable of solid professional judgment in the execution of project delivery and understands the importance of adhering to agreed upon schedules and budgets and producing quality deliverables.
