Million Meals Campaign
Our original goal was to provide the equivalent of one million meals to Canadians in need. As of March 2022, we met that goal, and to date we have helped over 250 organizations across the country.
Dillon launched The Million Meals Campaign in January 2021 to help combat food insecurity across Canada. The campaign supports our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact. Specifically, the Zero Hunger Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-2).
In addition to providing one million meals, we also hope to help solve some of the problems associated with the root causes of food insecurity, and in doing so, contribute to a transformation of the system for generations. To this end, pro bono consulting applications are evaluated on several factors including feasibility, impact, geographical diversity, and the ability to address the root causes of food insecurity. Our focus is on supporting not-for-profit and Indigenous organizations and communities. We invite you to explore our Million Meal Campaign Past Projects below.
In addition to our pro-bono consulting work, each Dillon office also supports a number of local food security initiatives through a combination of volunteer hours and direct cash and food donations.
We are continuing the Million Meals Campaign through 2024.
