Jeff Melanson is a Water Resource Engineer with over 13 years of progressive experience in water resources and watershed modelling. His areas of expertise include a broad range of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling applications to support stream restoration and rehabilitation, including extensive experience using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, ArcGIS and MATLAB.
He is experienced in using these computational tools to investigate stream hydrodynamics both in urban and rural settings. He also has extensive experience in the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of meteorological and hydrometric data. Jeff is experienced in dam break inundation and risk assessment, municipal stormwater management, drought assessments, flood frequency analysis, water balance studies, and climate change adaptation.
