The Waverley Underpass in Winnipeg, MB, opened to traffic ahead of schedule on August 18th, 2019. The project was originally scheduled to be finished by August 2020. It included the replacement of the existing at-grade railway crossing at Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue with this underpass, along with reconstruction and rehabilitation of Waverley Street. Construction in the area will continue through the end of the summer with limited disruption to traffic.
The City of Winnipeg retained Dillon to provide the preliminary and detailed design, along with construction administration services for this project. Our team provided all services for roadway, active transportation, stakeholder engagement, and bridge structure design and construction.
