Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) retained Harbour Engineering Joint Venture to complete environmental risk assessments and the preliminary design of seven future wastewater treatment systems (WWTS) on the island. The two-year assessment will identify environmental quality objectives for the receiving water in each area, along with effluent discharge objectives for future treatment plants. This project will provide an enhanced knowledge of the future plants, which will allow our team a competitive advantage in proposing on the future $450M wastewater clean-up project.
