The Town of Fort Erie and Dillon successfully presented the updated Master Plan for Crystal Ridge Park to Council. Updates to the 2010 plan included extensive public consultation with use of the Town's social media platforms and website, stakeholder sessions and a community focus group and a public open house with an unheard of attendance of 70 people.
The consultation period ended with greater than expected public interest and feedback which informed the final design with numerous positive comments from the community relayed to the Town's Councillors. The overwhelming level of support from the community led to Council's ultimate approval of the updated Master Plan.
The next phase of work involves detailed design and construction drawings, aiming for a construction start in the Fall of 2017.
